"I can’t handle this!" – I've lost track of how many times I've said this phrase in the past few days. One too many though.
It has been one of those weeks. Where so much has gone wrong. And just when you think it's smooth sailing, something else pops up. I won't give you my details because I know you have been there too. Maybe you're there now.
So let's pause.
Even in the midst of trials--especially in the midst of trials, our faith can be strengthened--if we endure. I'm still learning to slow down. To pause to not only talk to God, but to listen. Learning that words are so powerful. If I think I can't handle it, I can't. But more importantly, those words are all.about.me.
My sister read a quote to me recently that comes to mind, "If it's all about me, then it's all up to me." Heavy truth from Max Lucado. And there's no room for God there. There's no room to see the many, many ways that God is working and providing every.single.need.
So, I can't handle it. Fine. But I can't stop there. When those thoughts and words come, I will add this to it: I can't handle this, but you can.
I'm leaning into Him and #filling my mind with truth. With the good news:

And there's nothing He can't handle. Nothing is too hard for my God.--Jeremiah 32:27
